ENDYMION – Sat Feb 13 – 1pm
Endymion open house tomorrow at Erectiaphobia and Just Mike’s!
OK, this is definitely a do-it-yourself-style party. We’ll have a sack of oysters and a few beers, but basically we’re just offering up some great company, a warm house half a block off the Endymion route and a bathroom with an actual flushing toilet. Please bring your own beverage and some potlucky food to share.
4129A Cleveland Ave (upper left apartment) off Carrollton and Canal and near Juan’s Flying Burrito. Festivities begin around 1pm. Parking is every hasher for him/herself; ride your damn bike if you don’t want to drive around looking for a space all afternoon. Feel free to bring a guest or five. Questions? Email noraellertsen@hotmail.com.
St. Anthony Ramblers – Mardi Gras Day – 9am-ish
Drinks and breakfast at 9, march at 10. We start from Pastor Bait-Her and Udderly Rititulous‘ house on Spain Street. We are again fortunate to have Panorama Brass Band tour with us throughout the day, and in order to cover the cost of these minstrels and the early morning feast, we ask for a $25 contribution – a paltry sum for such wonderful entertainment.
Hope to see you reveling in the streets tomorrow at one point or another. Below is the invite / route, and we’ll be stopping at the following bars, in order: R-Bar, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop, Jackson Square, Harry’s Corner, Molly’s at the Market, and the Spotted Cat.
Each year, we seem to grow, both in numbers and in fun – so if you and yours are looking for Mardi Gras Day plans, please come join us and ramble!
Miss ay(lotta)cock and I are riding endymion on the coast guard float. Its either towards the end or at the very end of the parade, either way its a giant fucking boat in the street. Somebody bring me an oyster, we will be on the neutral ground side. Yelling any of my names will probably fall on deaf ears, or get a frisbie thrown at you. But, whistles and onons should turn my head. (who said head?)
