Love it or hate it, that 80s happened. We had neon clothing, rad sunglasses, jellies, layered shiggy socks, baja hoodies, member only jackets, and hair was abundant everywhere. No worries, if you still need inspiration to dress up for this week’s theme. I got you covered.

We’re meeting in the giant field behind Sake Cafe and Houston’s. Before that, we’re pre-lubing at the daiquiri shop next door. Get your Chuck Taylor’s and remember to pump your high tops before trail this week. It’ll be a thriller.

I’m not going to lie to you Marge, I was trying to think up a way to write some sort of Irish Incredible Hulk writeup, and it just wasn’t happening.

So, in lieu of cleverness, here’s a scary bodybuilder lady, ‘shopped green.

Thursdays theme is VooDoo Green with ENVY! Yeah, wear GREEN dumb asses! In light of the Campout, and since the coolest will NOT be at the Irish Italian parade on Sunday…or may not be. We are running from that location.

Chase Bank parking lot, Veterans and Phosphor St. (south side/I-10 side) next to Mugz Bar.( so we have a toilet)

Cost: $27 and some change (just bring $30 cash…they’ll sort through the change later)
What: Laser Tag, Bumper Cars, Arcade Game Happiness, Pizza, and BYOB

Alright, y’all, it’s finally here! Laser Tag Lock-In, this Friday! All we need is 25 people, and we’ve got 20 confirmed so far. We can do it! This outing involves absolutely no CHILDREN and therefore no SOBRIETY. The Manager told me outside booze is acceptable since no other members of the ‘general public’ will be admitted (aka ‘Lame-o’s). Now, the only real thing we have to do is figure out how we’re all getting there.

When you confirm through the evite, say whether or not you need a ride, have rides to offer (NOT mustache rides…this time), or will be meeting us at Adventure Quest. The ‘Official Pre-Lube’ destination will be at Finn McCool’s (corner of Banks and S. Telemachus) beginning at 9pm. If you need/want to carpool, meet up here. It’s only a few blocks from the I-10 Ramp, and it’s not called ‘Mid-City’ for nothin’. If we end up with more people who needs rides than people who want to drunk drive over to Metry and back, then we can just as easily get some cab vans together for a relatively cheap price.

There’s an NOH3 social that afternoon starting at 5pm at Gordon Biersch, as well, which I hope to attend to round up some drunken NOH3 Hashers That can be the official pre-pre-pre-lube, if needed.

Oh, and NO whistles or flashlights…PLEASE!

Beer Mile – Tonight!

The idea is simple if you haven’t been before — bring some beer (typically a 6 or 12 pack is ample “left overs” for relays afterward (you’ll only need 4 for the event itself). Bring something to keep it cold or some folks usually have extra room.

I have a table of suitable size for the event, itself.

If someone can bring some cones, that would be helpful.

A dry erase board and marker are also helpful and I haven’t done much to wrangle one of those, just yet.

We’ll probably proceed without a big clock, but if any of you folks have one that we can use, that would be great.

Other than that – try to get out there (Metairie Playground) around 6:45 – we’ll have a cocktail mile, I think, starting some time around 7pm and then we’ll start the beer heats (4-6 people per heat) after that. No great rush – just RSVP or call and tell us to wait if you’re running behind.
